Hi, I’m Tony. I have a passion for helping people to perform at their best under pressure, at work, home or play.
In today’s fast paced, ever changing world many people are finding themselves buckling under the load of ever increasing pressure. Unfortunately, excessive pressure leads to stress, and we all know that too much stress is bad for our health and well-being.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
I help people develop the life skills they need to allow them to avoid chronic stress and problematic anxiety, so their lives become more enjoyable, rewarding and healthier.
I have also developed a unique life changing program to help people suffering with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and related functional disorders. My program is called HYPNO4IBS. To learn more about this program head over to HYPNO4IBS .
A little about me
My path to helping others navigate their way to happier more successful lives started with my own recovery from a painful period of stress and anxiety. With help from an NLP life coach, I got my life back in balance. This positive experience with NLP and hypnotherapy triggered my natural curiosity. The more I learnt about these powerful and effective personal development tools and techniques, the stronger my desire to become an expert in their application, and to help others as I’d been helped.
I am originally from Warrington in the northwest of England. As a newly
qualified chartered accountant, I arrived in NZ in August 1986 to begin a two-year, fixed term, contract with a large accounting firm. I fell in love with Wellington and, after my contract ended, I decided to make Wellington my permanent home.
During a thirty-year business career I worked at a senior level in a number of large organisations providing advice directly to CEOs and executive leadership teams. I led, and was involved in, a number of organisational change initiatives and experienced first-hand the adverse emotional and physical impact that change, when handled badly, can have on individuals.
When I'm not helping people change their lives I ....
... share my life with my wife Mary and our two cats Oscar and Gracie.
I have a passion for creative writing and wrote my first novel (a thriller)
whilst studying for an Advanced Diploma in Creative Writing.
I’m a member of Improv Connection. We are a group of improvisers who regularly step out on stage to deliver unrehearsed, created in the moment, entertainment. I enjoy the adrenaline rush triggered by performing in front of a live audience.
Whenever I get the chance, I love to strum a tune on my ukulele.
I am a trainer with the New Zealand School of Professional Hypnotherapy and enjoy passing on my knowledge and experience to the next generation of hypnotherapists.
I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
